…sorry, I know we’re reflecting on Loretta Lynn, but this song makes me think of the obvious counterpoint, Dolly Parton’s “Joline”.
I always wondered what the titular (no pun intended) Joline could POSSIBLY be bringing that could conpete with DOLLY FREAKING PARTON in her PRIME!
…unless “Joline” is ACTUALLY Loretta?!?

Loretta Lynn was the boss! She earned the role of country music queen long before Dolly Parton.
Both woman are talented and great singers but I admire Lynn’s tenacity and grit. She just seemed to have more depth.
