Lawyer Doug Schoen said he thinks the appeal will be “bulletproof.”

Just The News: Ex-Trump White House political adviser Steve Bannon was sentenced Friday to six month in prison for contempt of Congress for having refused to comply with subpoenas from the Democrat-led House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot. 

The judge in the case also ordered Bannon pay a $6,500 fine, much less than the $200,000 recommended by federal prosecutors, who also said the far-right conservative operative should serve two years behind bar.

U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit judge in explaining the sentencing said Bannon poses a “very small risk of recidivism with regard to congressional subpoenas,” but there must be a deterrence for others considering committing “similar crimes,” NBC News reported.

The judge also said that if Bannon filed his appeal in a timely manner, his prison sentence could be suspended until the appeals process concludes. Bannon has 14 days to appeal his conviction. more

    Part of the complaint alleges the harsh use of language by Bannon! Good grief, what a bunch of fucking pansies. So tough they send armed thugs to perp walk a 68 year old man but they melt when Bannon uses the term, Shifty Shift.

    Next up is Peter Navarro who was in no way involved with anything to do with what happened on 1/6. He wasn’t there, he didn’t send any emails, make any calls, write ANYTHING leading up to or about that day. How in the fuckity fuck fuck are they going to connect him to 1/6?

    The 68 year old Navarro was arrested on an airplane by FBI Nazi fucking thugs, his feet were schalked!!!! and he was perp walked through the airport. He lives down the block from the FBI Headquarters and he & his lawyer were in communication with FBI counsel. All they had to do was ask him to come by but nooooo, Nazis don’t roll that way.

    I’ve been saying this for over a year but what’s gonna to happen when the 2022 Midterms are stolen? Cause we didn’t do shit in 2020 and look at what we got.

  15. The not yet convicted (what we called ‘presumed innocent’ in the old days) J6 ‘insurrectionists’ / trespassers / invited citizens have already served more than 4 months. If Bannon’s show weren’t so popular and powerful, I think the time and the fine for his conviction would have been much more. I think the Powers That Be are walking a thin line between wanting to make an example of him and not wanting to fuel the patriots’ cause. And biding their time to see how the midterms go…
