Florida teacher’s union loses thousands of members

JTN: The Florida Education Association, the state’s largest union, lost over 4,500 members in the 2020-2021 school year, the first full school year after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The union had a 3.3% drop in membership, according to the outlet RealClearPolicy on Tuesday.

The union did not immediately respond to request Tuesday for comment. However, on its website, the organization said that the state has a teacher shortage – which could have resulted in the decline in teacher union membership. more

  1. The thing to remember is that De Santis is only up by 10 points. That’s all. The other thing to remember is a drug-addled closet perv was almost elected governor of Florida prior to De Santis. And, yes: Jeb! Bush was once governor of Florida.

  2. So it’s the UNION that says there’s a teacher shortage, eh? I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find that Florida doesn’t have a teacher shortage, but rather Florida has a shortage of teachers willing to join that damned union.
