Just The News: The Miami Marlins on Monday promoted Caroline O’Connor to president of business operations – making history as the first Major League Baseball team to have a female president and general manager.
O’Conner joinsKim Ng, who the Marlins hired two years ago as its general manager, according to ESPN.
The Marlins made also history in hiring Ng because she became the first female general manager for any team in the North American Big Four leagues – MLB, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the National Hockey League. more
