Oregon Education Association Sees 20% Drop

 Freedom Foundation,

By its own admission, the Oregon Education Association (OEA) — the state’s largest teachers’ union — finds itself in the throes of a membership “crisis.”

According to the union’s most recent documents, OEA reported an active membership of 41,784 out of 48,774 represented educators during the 2019-20 school year. By 2020-21, however, that number had shrunk to 41,127.

During the most recent 2021-22 school year, OEA membership continued to decline to just 40,634 dues-paying members, even though the total number of OEA-represented teachers topped 50,000 for the first time. MORE

    > You’d think Oregon would be more worried about the 30 percent drop in student enrollment into public schools.

Oregon got some unique constitutional clause, that without the snot noses, they have to give the taxes back?

You ain’t from around here are you. That’s a Fed law that effects every state. And that was my point. They’re down 30 percent Fed school financing. But they’re more worried about attendance to their Tupperware and Butt Plug parties.
