CTH took considerable flak for reporting on the uniparty system of Georgia politics prior to the 2020 midterms. With the election in the rearview mirror, the Georgia Secretary of State is now proposing to permanently codify Democrat control of the state.

One would force large counties to open more locations for voting early. Another would lower the vote total needed to avoid a runoff from 50 percent to 45.

The “split ticket” excuse mentioned in the linked article is pure BS. Republicans supposedly voted for democrats because the MAGA republicans were just too extreme and impure. It’s nothing but a red herring to cover up the obvious cheating that took place. Anyone that pays attention knows that Raffensperger actually lost his primary to Jody Hice (who was ahead by almost 30 points in the polls a couple of weeks before the primary which Raffensperger supposedly won by just enough to avoid a runoff). But the SOS controls the voting machines so both Kemp and Raffy skated to victory using the cheat (both of these A-holes are completely owned by the CCP) but they used the machines to defeat Herschel as a way of demeaning Trump. The “solutions” he proposes just makes pulling off the cheat easier in the future. He deserves a date with a hemp rope.
Ask Alaskans how ranked choice is working for them. I can’t imagine anything so stupid as that!
it won’t happen, but state constitutions need to be amended so that secretaries of state can’t run for office as long as they’re in office to run they’re own elections. I realize that would make S.O.S. a one term job, but too bad, so sad, buhbuy.

Andrew Yang with his Forward third party is promoting this too. It really just gives the uniparty full control by adding in additional candidates to split the vote etc. But it is appealing to people who are sick of the two party system on both sides that haven’t seen it in action.
This ranked choice seems like the way it’s done in Communist countries.
