Gateway Pundit: Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert revealed last night on Fox News that McCarthy could have already been sworn in as Speaker yet he refused a simple common-sense proposal from conservatives. This marks just another reminder that the Uniparty is completely responsible for this crisis.
She told Fox News “Special Report” host Bret Baier she had endeavored to create “unity” to forge a conservative agenda supported by America. She said she and two others presented some simple requests including a border security bill, term limits, and reducing the federal debt.
Yet the RINO squish rejected it all! Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
From the Daily Caller: “I have been working for months behind the scenes to create unity,” Boebert told “Special Report” host Bret Baier. “Just last night two colleagues and myself walked into Kevin McCarthy’s office and presented him a very common sense proposal, a deal that got him 218 votes, the gavel on the first ballot and he smugly rejected that.”
“McCarthy failed to garner the 218 votes needed to become speaker in three ballots Tuesday, receiving 203 votes in the first two ballots, before Republican Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida switched his vote to Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio on the third ballot, leaving the California Republican with 202. Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York secured 212 votes from Democrats in all three ballots.”
“It was very common-sense things like putting forward a border security bill. Putting forward a term limits bill. Having a measure in place where any member of Congress who offers an amendment to reduce the federal debt, well, that’s made in order,” Boebert continued. more here

I assume she means the office of the Speaker of the House, where California Kevin has arrogantly and presumptuously squatted. I know California coddles their bums, but needs to GTFO.
I was watching some clips from today in the House. MTG sure was cozying up to McCarthy, laughing and chatting with him. I guess she feels like one of the popular girls now. That was what her body language was saying to me, the nerdy girl who gets attention from the popular boy in school.
I wonder if that’s all it took for her to sellout to be invited into the club? Maybe now that her marriage is over, she’s on the prowl?
To think I once liked her more than Boebert.

This is all for naught. Any conservative bill passed by the House will fail in the D controlled Senate (at least 2 R will vote with the D’s), and if it does somehow pass the Senate, Biden will veto it.
Best we could hope for is liberal bills don’t see the light of day in the House. For 2 years.
Top secret negotiations between the house GOP & the democrats to put an end to this. Deal is no government shutdowns, budgets will pass & other major decisions to be announced. This will effectively squash the holdouts.

Hannity has been dead to me for quite some time.
OK, it was cute in the beginning but now they all look like a bunch of monkeys put in a barrel trying to find the corner.
The best thing the Republicans can do now is to not have any more votes but to go into a room, just themselves, lock the doors, and work something out so that they come out united.
And I wouldn’t get all hang doged on MTG for seeing a different path. We have the same divisions here (Trump supporters and Trump detractors), it doesn’t make any of us of a patriot.

Apparently the establishment doesn’t want to cut a deal and at this point neither do the majority if not all of the twenty.
I’ve been told the calls to the Republicans in at least two Red States have been 20 to one telling them to not vote for McCarthy. They don’t seem to care, however on the other side, calls to those of the 20 are the same praising them for what they’re doing.
McCarthy and the establishment needs to do the right thing and nominate someone else that will negotiate with them. There is no overcoming this.
I though am still loving it, the longer they’re shut down they’re not spending us into oblivion. I’ve never seen investigations go anywhere, I’ve never seen anyone held accountable, I have yet to see a secure border or all of the illegals rounded up and deported. So exactly what is the downside?
McCarthy looks like the biggest dumbass.
The latest from Gaetz is that McCarthy is not going to be speaker now unless he puts on a straight jacket that fully constrains him as speaker.
They pushed them into a corner, they have no other choice but to hold the line, otherwise they know what they’ll do to them.
BTW, is it true that McCarthy is queer? I keep seeing this all over that he bats for the other team.
