MTV News to Shut Down

(Natural NewsMTV News has announced that it will shut down, with the development following the closure of fellow leftist BuzzFeed News.

John Nolte, senior writer for Breitbart, elaborated on the news in a May 10 piece. He wrote that Paramount Global, MTV News‘ parent company, announced the closure as part of its 25 percent staff reduction “across the Showtime, MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks groups in the United States.”

Chris McCarthy, president of Showtime, MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks, said in a statement: “We have made the very hard, but necessary decision to reduce our domestic team by approximately 25 percent. This is a tough yet important strategic realignment of our group.”

“Through the elimination of some units and by streamlining others, we will be able to reduce costs and create a more effective approach to our business as we move forward,” he continued. The announcement essentially ended the 36-year-run of MTV News. read more

Well considering all three of my kids swipe my CD’s, we might be onto something. LOL. Well, they use to. I’m not sure what people do for music now these days. Or how to create a digital playlist. And have no desire to do so. LOL. I think I’ve arrived. At old.

  8. I probably quit watching MTV about 1984 or so. As soon as the leftist indoctrination started, I was done. I had already really tapered off watching it when it went from music all the time to horse shit most of the time.

I never really watched it so much as listened and would glance at the video from time to time anyway.

  9. Addicted to Love – haven’t heard that one for a while. That one deserves playing at Eleven!
“Twilight Zone” – I made an extended version of that as the sound track for a slide show of Air Force photography featuring modern day aircraft and WWII aircraft. It’s kinda cool watching it alternate between old and new – talk about the Twilite Zone!

  10. I’m so old I’ve only watched it on links from places like here.

Sadly the work computer blocks you tube so now I’ll have to check it all out when I get home from “work.”
