GP: On Tuesday, the Texas legislature voted to pass HB 1070 and withdrew from Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), the controversial voter roll maintenance system.
Texas will be the 9th state in the past year to leave the ERIC.
Rep. John Bucy, D-Austin proposed some changes to the bill, which would have to be approved by the Senate before the bill goes to Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk. MORE
