England: Body of missing man found, confused for horror movie prop

GBN: The body of a missing man found in the back of a lorry was mistaken for a horror movie prop.

Ian Roberts was reported missing in October 2022 with Merseyside Police issuing a plea to help locate him. The 35-year-old was last seen in Warrington, Cheshire before he was found hanging in a lorry inside a compound.

But Roberts was not reported dead because the man who found him believed the body was a “dummy”. Cheshire Coroner’s Court heard that the lorry had been previously used in a horror film set. more

  1. I forgot to roll my window up and was surprised by a sleeping cat this morning getting in my truck.
Guess it could have been worse.

Cat scared the crap out of me.

“I forgot to roll my window up and was surprised by a sleeping cat this morning getting in my truck.”

…years ago I was called out for a fire run from my house at o’dark early as these things tend to be. I jumped in my light festooned POV, turned on the rotators, the flashers, and the wigwags, started to pull out and then noticed the silhouette of the large, fat cat resting just outside my rear window (80s Electra with a VERY large, flat trunk).

So I had to get out with a full disco light show stabbing through the dark while I scooped this disgruntled feline off my vehicle before I could put someone’s house fire out.

Cats are great, but they do what they wanna do.

I think they do it just to remind us that THEY are in charge…
