  1. Cause of all evil?

Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day”

    Theodore Roosevelt in 1906

    Enjoyed the spoof video, though.

  2. JDhasty, check out today’s 6-11 Federalist Papers article and great 9-minute video, Storm chaser prays against tornado, makes remarkable discovery inside house. I guarantee it’ll make your day and show you just how powerful and destructive that tornadoes can be.

Mom and I drove through the aftermath of a tornado that had touched down west of Spokane. 18 inch caliber pine trees were snapped off all along I-90. No doubt regarding their power.

We were warned by many men over the centuries about government becoming corrupt over time and yet here we are. Churchill, Reagan even Ike and foreign political prisoners like Solzenitzen and as recently as Pastor Pawlowski in Canada.
Maybe we should have done something. Is it too late to take out the trash?

  6. JDHasty, I was coming back from Seattle with some friends in May or June of 95 along that stretch of I 90 about 25-30 miles W. of Spokane about the Fishtrap Lake exit just after that microburst had come thru that area in the middle of the freeway and saw all the lodgepole pines sawed in half from that microburst. It was also pouring like hell, windshield wipers going full blast with at least 4 or more inches of hail on the roadway in front of us. Yes indeed, that was one hell of a rare freak, heavy thunderstorm in that area that day. And when you drive thru that area you can still see fallen trees and broken off stumps of those trees that were decimated by that storm to this day.
