Poll: Mitt Romney Approval Rating Sinks in Utah

Breitbart

Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-UT) approval rating in Utah is dropping, and most say he should not seek reelection, a recent Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll found.

The survey found just 41 percent expressing approval of Romney’s job performance, and of those, 15 percent “strongly” approve. Forty-nine percent disapprove, and of those, 30 percent disapprove “strongly.” Another ten percent “don’t know.” This reflects a five-point increase for Romney in terms of disapproval as 44 percent of voters disapproved of his performance in March. It also reflects an 11-point drop from the 52 percent who approved in March.

When asked if Romney should seek reelection in 2024 for the U.S. Senate, most, 51 percent, said, “no,” he should not. Another 47 percent said, “yes,” he should run again, and three percent “don’t know.”

More specifically, 54 percent of Republicans do not believe Romney should run again, while most Democrats, 55 percent, believe he should run for Senate again.

The failed 2012 presidential candidate, however, has yet to say if he will run for reelection in 2024, although he said he is putting together a team, raising money, and “keeping my options open.”

If Romney chooses to run, he will face challenger Trent Staggs, Mayor of Riverton, Utah. read more

  1. “Another ten percent “don’t know.” Why do they include those who don’t know? Were these illegals or H1B? These people should not be allowed to vote if they have no opinion.

  2. Willard, the carpetbagger, has more UTAH democrats approving his RINO actions than republicans.
Has Willard wore out his welcome in Utah?
Will Willard move to California or Washington state to run for the woke vote?

  3. What in the hell is wrong with Utah’s voters? Mitt Romney, really? Is that the best you can do? You mean you can’t find a Special Ed kid with more potential, brains, and integrity?

When Mittens first moved to Utah, he presented a smooth talking, well coiffed, Mormon affiliated, semi-RINO appearance.
And I didn’t vote for him then, either.
If he DOES decide to run again, I’ll do my best to derail THAT train.

I’ll definitely have to scope out this Riverton mayor.
I may even try to run against him, skeletons in my closet and all.

  5. If you’ve seen how local politics works, how people end up on the ballot for even just the primaries, you know EXACTLY how this turd will not only win his primary but also the general election should he run again. BOTH worthless major political parties exist to further the interests of folks who don’t even live in this country, but certainly profit from what our government does. THESE folks pull every string in both parties, and play them off of each other so that the gullible voter thinks that have an actual choice on election day. By then its WAY TOO LATE. Whoever wins on election day, THEY always win.
