Parents of children who accidentally sparked a massive fire may be forced to pay $675k to help reimburse the state of California.

A lawsuit from the state’s attorney general claimed that the fire was caused by the parents’ negligence because they weren’t watching their children closely enough while they played with a campfire. The family was camping at the Skyline Truck Trail in Jamul, a small town near San Diego.

“Joy S. and Nathan S. negligently supervised one or more of their minor children [who then] transferred the campfire to an adjacent vegetated area,” reads the lawsuit from Attorney General Rob Bonta’s Office.

The fire began on June 11, 2020, and burned over 100 acres during three days. more here

“The parents should change their name to Biden then all would be forgiven.”

C’mon, man, no joke! I don’t even let all my own biog…bioju…my own grandkidz from Hunter’s spermz use the Biden name!

But if they smell good we may be able to make a deal. Call Hunter on…you know…the Thing? Jo3 30330!

  2. “And it wasn’t the only fire the children had allegedly started” on that trip.

Their children “relocated the campfire” into a more vegetated area on more than one occasion? And they still leave them alone at the campsite? Bill the parents for the fire and get the little firebugs some treatment before they start one that kills people.

  3. how much is this lefty loon gonna have to pay for the damage he caused?

“Edward Fredrick Wackerman, of Mariposa, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated arson, arson that causes great bodily injury and arson causing damage or destruction of inhabited structures, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as Cal Fire, said in a statement.”

  4. One hundred acres is not particularly massive and for it to have taken 3 days for it to spread that far, the fire could not have been particularly serious. That being said, it was highly negligent for the parents to have allowed their children to be unsupervised around fire, especially after the brats having already done the same thing once before on the same outing.
