  1. We can build railways across the Pacific and Indian oceans but can’t maintain one across the Yellowstone river. The more *bipartisan infrastructure money spent the more these incidents occur. Oh wait, I’m going off script I’m going to get in trouble.

  2. It is true that as competence is replaced with diversity the number and severity of ‘accidents’ will increase. Reality has a way of intruding on dreams, even really, really good dreams. Just as bad money forces out good, hiring for diversity forces out competence.

  3. No doubt this will be blamed on either white sabotage or white incompetence, planned and carried out by white nazis. White supremacy is our greatest threat.

Election season is firing up and Biden needs his statements to start paying dividends. No cost is too high for those payments. Additional benefit is distraction from his crackhead son’s overseas business dealings. Lapdog media will gladly assist, no questions asked.

    ..more to come.

  4. The tin foil hat crowd will tell you that the Chinese Nationalists that have been wondering across or border are actually ChiCom Military and they have formed up with the expressed purpose of destroying our rail way system. The tin foil hat crowd are currently batting 1000. Just sayen.

  5. Derailments happen. Any number of causes must considered: track defect, equipment failure and/or train handling by the engineer. The car(s) could have derailed way before the bridge. There is very little clearance between the cars and the bridge.

If there had been a caboose, the brakeman or conductor would have noticed the derailed car(s). They could have stopped the train or called the engineer and told him to stop the train. The rr’s cut the brakemen off and put the conductor on the head end with the engineer.

The train crews now depend on wayside detectors (hot wheel and dragging equipment) to scan their train and detect problems. If there’s a problem, the detector notifies the train crew via radio that it detected a problem and gives them the location using an axle count. Once the train gets past the detector it must stop and the conductor must walk back and inspect the defective axle/car.

  6. You don’t need a tinfoil hat to connect Chinese soldiers prancing across our borders and a raft of fires, derailments, drug poisonings.

I just hope they don’t start blowing up dams.

But blowing up windmill farms and solar panel installations is OK with me.

  7. Not sure “infrastructure” funds are applicable to private railway bridges.
Most likely this administrations going to hang it on BNSF regardless.
    Thoughts?

  8. A few thoughts on some of the comments:

    “Obama’s infrastructure improvements…”

I’m not a union man but if you work on a job with Federal money involved, you get union wages. In the fall before Obama was elected I was working such a job- $45/hr. You may remember that time, housing bust, bad economy, lots of people out of work. In the spring after the magic negro got his trillion $ for shovel ready jobs I had another such job-$60/hr. If shoveling money through laundromats like Solyndra and buying union votes are infrastructure improvements, it’s no wonder trains are falling into the Yellowstone River.

” that the Chinese Nationalists that have been wondering across or border are actually ChiCom Military”

When the Brits lease on Hong Kong was due to expire, there was a notable change in the help in Chinese restaurants — a significant number of them spoke very poor English or none at all. At the time I attributed it to people fleeing Hong Kong before the commies took over. Don’t know that for a fact but it is a reasonable assumption. Fast forward to 2023 and what’s happening in Asia. China is threatening Taiwan big time and you don’t have to be a Chinese rocket scientist to know Chinese vassal xiden isn’t going to protect you, no matter what he says. It seems anyone not wearing a MAGA cap can walk across our southern border so it’s reasonable to assume at least some Chinese are fleeing Taiwan.

“going to hang it on BNSF regardless.”

Isn’t BNSF owned by a sacred cow, AKA Warren Buffet?
