Megyn Kelly excoriated the US women’s soccer team for making fools of themselves at the World Cup opener by staying silent during the national anthem.
Not only did they not deign to sing their nation’s anthem, six of the eleven team members didn’t even bother to put their hands over their hearts during it. Instead, they kept their arms at their sides or behind their backs before they went on to beat Vietnam 3-0 on Friday. Independent journalist and podcaster Megyn Kelly asserted that the actions of those members of the soccer team prove they “hate” America.
Five team members did put their hands over their hearts. Three of them, Julie Ertz, Alyssa Naeher, and Lindsey Horan, also sang the national anthem. By contrast, every single player on the communist Vietnamese team sang their anthem with their hands on their chests. more
