JTN: Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced legislation Tuesday to abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
“USAID does not serve a meaningful purpose,” he said. “It is used as a slush fund for international ‘wokeism.’ Therefore, serious lawmakers in Congress should support its complete abolition.”
The USAID does humanitarian work and poverty reduction internationally.
The department has been pushing issues such as gender equity programs, climate change and abortion, according to The Daily Caller.
