Revolver: Do you recall the days when a celebrity endorsement actually meant something? It’s a journey back in time, but there was an era when a celebrity’s words carried a lot of influence, and people paid attention to what they said. I understand that might sound somewhat unbelievable, given the current landscape we’re in. Celebrities have plummeted in the ranks to the point where folks often do the exact opposite of what Hollywood elites suggest just to snub their noses at them.

There was a poll conducted in 2019 about “celebrity influence” and how it was significantly dropping. Imagine how much worse these numbers are now in 2023, after all the TDS and social justice nonsense that’s unfolded. more

  4. C’mon and leave the lady alone….she really believes she’s a good person because everyone she pays to tell her that says she is. You’re just jealous you can’t scoop up land at fire sale prices (no pun intended) and pay cash like she can.

  8. I grew up in an area of Southern California that was populated by a lot of Hollywood celebrities. I went to school with a few of their children. Celebrities back then, for the most part didn’t flaunt their wealth. Their homes tended to be, by today’s standards, fairly middle class (although they may have owned several). To flaunt your wealth back then was considered crass. Today, Hollywood stars, and musicians are in-your-face 24/7 on social media trying to outdo each other with huge homes, expensive cars, ond other opulent signs of their success. And if they ever do share their largess with “the little people”, they do so in front of cameras. There are exceptions, but Oprah isn’t one of them.

  11. Love it or hate it the internet has allowed all this deception to come to light. You have to dig a little to find much truth but we’d still be believing everything we heard on the “news” and TV ads without it.

    I believe it’s called being real estate rich but cash poor. They could afford to live in it, but couldn’t afford the real important stuff like insurance, savings, and a plan. Nope, Oprah wants you to open up your wallets and pay for the slackers. To Oprah: Piss poor planning on their part doesn’t constitute an emergency on my part. I have my own stuff to look after, no one will do it but me.

    Oprah! magazine. Hmm. Let’s see: January issue, cover picture of Oprah. February issue, cover picture of Oprah. Same for March, April, May, June, July, August, September, November, and December. Major league narcissist. I’m talking professional narcissist. I’m surprised she muted the comments on Instagram; someone on her staff probably had to explain why that was a good idea.
