JTN– Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said Wednesday the city of Phoenix shipping weapons to Ukraine police would be a violation of state law. However, Mayes was highly critical of the statutes and the state lawmakers who complained about the city’s efforts.
“My office has determined that Phoenix’s ordinance conflicts with state laws concerning firearm disposal,” Mayes said, following her office investigating the matter, in response to a complaint by two state legislators. “I am deeply troubled by these (state) statutes. These laws are inflexible and frankly offensive to the victims of crime and communities affected by gun violence.”
The Phoenix City Council earlier this year approved a plan to send weapons in the city’s possession to Ukrainian police, according to local media. The weapons reportedly are “unclaimed handguns and shotguns,” and the program is modeled after Miami Florida’s shipment of weapons to Ukraine last year. MORE
Are they going to send ammo too? I’d venture to say they better stick to weapons chambered in 9 mil, 556/223, 7.62 by 39, and maybe 308. I don’t think grandpa 45 long colt will do much good.
I’m guessing they have federal approval of this? nah, just do whatever the fuck you want to in America these days unless you are conservative then you get persecuted.

It is insane that leftists hate guns so much in their neighborhood, yet want to send them to a war-torn country. The height of hypocrisy. Also, proof that they will accept anything that comes to them through the boob tube.

Most excellent point. In fact, if they’re shipping AR’s over there they need ITAR approval. And to get that they need to go through about 4 different agencies.
The Ukrainian police will in turn sell them back to the criminals in Pheonix and deposit Joe’s 10% offshore.
