Slay News: Attempts by radical Democrats to enforce a dystopian “anti-misinformation” law in California have been shot down after falling foul of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
Mounting lawsuits against the state over the anti-free speech agenda have now eventually resulted in the law being repealed.
The hotly debated law sought to muzzle and punish physicians offering Covid advice to their patients that contradicts the mainstream narrative on treatments.
The bill was initially enacted in September 2022 and implemented in January after being signed into law by Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom.
However, legal action has now brought the law to an abrupt halt.
The law intended to classify Covid “misinformation” as misconduct in the medical profession.
It authorizes the Medical Board of California to revoke the licenses of healthcare providers deviating from the prevailing scientific viewpoints. more

Everyone should understand what the left means when they say, “our democracy”. They mean that if they can get 50% + 1 of the people to agree to kill the 2nd Amendment or end free speech or end freedom of religion or the right to property, then the others have no choice but to live with that. After all, the majority rules, right? That’s why the Constitution was formed. It exists to protect our freedoms from democracy.

I listened to Jordan Peterson give the keynote speech at the 7th Annual Disinvition Dinner given by the (William F.)Buckley Center. The topic was freedom of speech.
Through the years I’ve enjoyed Peterson’s presentations because he is so consistently able to put his finger exactly on the real problem. His precise use of language and his frequent forays into the parallel issues causing the problem always create a tight and clear argument. He’s just an unusually good thinker.
Go out to YT and search for it. I guarantee it will be your go-to on why we need the 1A. Or, as Peterson points out, ANY legitimate society cannot survive without the right of its members to speak freely. I know he will introduce some ideas about free speech that will be new to you, or not recently thought about.
