The residents of Lugansk and Donetsk didnt NEED evacuation from the Russians because 95% of them voted for Yanukovich, the pro Russian candidate. Also, some 95% or so choose to speak Russian, even as the faction in Kiev persecuted them for it. In other words, they are overwhelmingly Russian. And so is Crimea (85%). Thats why the “unprovoked invasion” was a walkover for Russia. No one in Crimea was resisting
Same mostly goes for Zaporozhia (75%) Kherson is a little bit more of a problem (60%) but the part held by Russia on the east side of the Dnieper is much higher

Then check out the far West of Ukraine and see the exact opposite .. 95% voting for the Ukie bitch and speaking Ukrainian. This is the region historically known as Galicia and Volhynia. This region was NEVER a part of Ukraine until Stalin annexed them as part the secret deal with Hitler. You know, that sacred, rules based covenant that started that minor dustup called WW2? And it is these people, who actually fought Stalin after WW2 for annexing their region to the Ukrainian ASSR and who made common cause with Hitler, that are the ones who now control Ukraine
So what sort of “rule” makes it a crime for Russian people in Donbass to want to break away from the people who resisted being part of Ukraine in the first place? Why is it an outrage that they want to go back to their historical homeland
