Ukraine is about to have another cold winter when Russia starts bombing their electrical grid again, and there won’t be any quick fixes like last Winter. Nobody wants to send power gear to Ukraine, and hare-brained schemes to disperse mini-LNG plants throughout the country are doomed to failure. All of this is aggravated by the rampant corruption which rots everything in Ukraine. And we can’t replace Ukraine’s transformers, because we just don’t make anything anymore, and our own grid is a shambles.
