Zelensky says now is not the time for presidential elections in Ukraine

IZ: In the current situation, holding presidential elections in Ukraine will not be in time. This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky on November 6 in a video message on his Telegram channel.

“We all understand that now, in wartime, when there are many challenges, it is absolutely irresponsible to somehow frivolously, playfully, throw into society the topic of elections. I believe that now the elections are untimely,” Zelensky said.

He called on everyone to focus on defense issues and continue to work in unity.

He added that there are structures in the country that are capable of “setting the record straight” and giving society all the necessary answers when any political disputes arise. more

  1. 100% RickeyG

Obama is going to get boots on the ground in Ukraine, and somehow start a hot war against either the illegals by the right, or the right by himself.

Bingo-bango-bongo, elections suspended and shits-his-pants gets another term. Because we have no way of rescheduling an election because it is unprecedented.

  2. Remember when Lincoln canceled elections in 1864, at the height of the Civil War?
Remember when FDR canceled elections in 1944, failing health and all, at the height of WWII?
Yeah, Ukraine has democracy. Uh huh.

  4. Time for some “Mussolini Moderation” in Ukrainian politics. That little sawed off wannabe dictator must have a set of balls he has to haul around in a wheelbarrow. Either that or he thinks he has really good protection from somewhere.
