McDonald’s is facing a lawsuit by the mother of a teenager who was brutally attacked by an adult in a Southern California restaurant.
Angelina Gray is suing the alleged assailant and the fast-food chain over its inaction during the unprovoked assault of her 13-year-old daughter back in September, contending that staff at the Harbor City McDonald’s “did nothing” as Kassidy Jones was targeted and attacked inside the eatery.
“I am heartbroken that my innocent daughter was beaten,” the mother said, according to Fox 11. “McDonald’s staff and managers did nothing to intervene. They all stood and watched.” MORE
If the McD’s mgr called the cops right away, I don’t see that their actions (or lack thereof) are actionable. I always hope for a large man with a baseball bat to intervene, but we’re not always available. This sounds like the mom is trying to dive into deep pockets.

Reading the article it looks like yet another Entitled Black Prog. lookin for a huge payday. The kid probably opened her mouth causing this to happen in the first place.

The DA is now charging the mother with child endangerment. WTF? So if you let your child step outside in da hood your guilty of endangering your child. The 13 year old is an honor roll student. And appears to have an intact family. A mother and a father. I can see why the adult wanted to beat her up. Maybe more people need to sue these businesses where this type of thing happens. Ultimately it will put the animals in their place.
…while I can be disgusted that no one at the store had the personal heart to act, putting on a McDonald’s uniform does not confur a DUTY to protect your customers oranyone else for that matter.
In a day and age when governments say the police themselves have no duty to protect any particular person, it’s pretty hard to argue that a burger flipper has one.
I sympathize with your disgust, but that doesn’t change the fact you can’t legislate courage.

And if the McD’s employees would have intervened, they likely would have been charged criminally and the perp would have sued them. Legally it was a wise move to call the cops and do nothing.

Without any evidence, whatsoever, I suspect that the mother supports the decay and rot in CA – and votes to oppress CA citizenry through the use of terror tactics by criminals freed by Soros-funded, anti-civilizational DAs to wreak havoc amongst the humans.
The fact that elections have consequences has never occurred to her – thus she places the blame for her daughter’s beating on McD employees.
