GP: The problem, it seems, is not so much ‘global warming’ as it is ‘local freezing.’
Northern Europe was surprised by the ‘sudden onset’ of Winter, causing disruption and dangerous conditions in several countries.
Liberal Europeans had barely finished complaining that 2023 was ‘the hottest year on record’ when – wouldn’t you know it – temperatures were freezing cold at the very start of winter.
Authorities in western Germany, for one, urged residents to stay home, warning of ‘life-threatening danger’ after a ‘burst of winter weather’ led to hazardous roads, leading to accidents that left two people dead. more
But, but…the narrative……
Nein nein nein!
An extended, grand solar minimum is still a-comin’ and that, combined with the decreasing Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, just about guarantees colder European winters regardless of what the rest of the planet does. Sorry, guys, you’ve been relying on our Gulf Stream way too long! We’re gonna have to shut you down! 🙂
Global Warming, definitely not Global Warming.
Go to Tennessee for an example of how 1/4″ of snow can be a ‘burst of winter weather’ that causes ‘life-threatening danger’.
Hint: it ain’t the snow’s fault.
Climate Stupidity
The 4 phases of Climate Change: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter
It snows every Winter up North, some years we have almost no snow and the then every decade or two we get a snowpocalypse like we did during the Winter of 2008 and 2009. And it’s starting a snow a little today here in Spokane with more supposedly on the way tomorrow. We’ll see, SNS my daughter grew up in the Pacific NW and now lives in the Nashville area laughs at all the turkeys down there when it snows. To her it’s no big deal but they panic when they get a small amount of snow since they don’t know how to deal with it.

Water vapor from Tonga is still in the Stratosphere too. It’s going to take another 3 – 4 years to wring that out. Water is the king of greenhouse gasses. Keeps heat from escaping when it’s a vapor. In winter is freezes and forms microscopic ice crystals and reflects IR back into space.
KR’s prediction: Hotter summers and colder winters thru 2026 or so…
