California to Fine Stores That Don’t Have ‘Gender-Neutral’ Children’s Toy Section

Slay:

A new law due to come into effect in California next month will see stores issued with fines if they fail to comply with radical gender ideology.

The law, which comes into effect on January 1, 2024, mandates stores that sell children’s items to have a gender-neutral section.

Details of the “woke” new law are confirmed on a state government website.

The law applies to any company that sells “childcare items” or toys and employs a minimum of 500 employees across store locations.

It requires that they offer a section where “a reasonable selection of the items and toys for children that it sells shall be displayed, regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys,” according to the law’s text.

Stores that do not comply with the law could face a civil penalty. more

  2. I’ve heard of legislating morality, but legislating insanity? It would not surprise me if California passed a law that you must pick your nose with your toes when the wind blows.

Kurt Schlichter’s portrayal of this gender crap in his People’s Republic books is already being implemented and surpassed.

  3. Another assault on masculinity.

When I was a boy you could buy GI Joe with a Kung Fu grip.

Closest thing for boys today is Roblox and Funko Pops and encouraged to leave them in the box because they could be valuable one day. Bunch of BS, poor kids.

Man, when I was a kid, well into my early teens, I loved this time of year and watching any cool toy commercial stuff…Evel Knievel, Sizzlers, Smash Up Derby, Stick Shifters, Slot Cars, BMX bikes, cool board games…etc. Nowadays,I don’t see anything like that….sad.

  5. I don’t see a huge problem here. Just don’t have girls’/boys’ sections. All vehicle toys together. All doll toys together. All building toys. All art supplies together. In other words you don’t put the pink-and-turquoise legos into a “girls'” section.

And if I ran the store, I’d be sure to distribute all of the Barbie stuff all over the place so that Mattel would be screwed over.

  6. What constitutes a “boy’s toy” vs “girl’s toy”, vs “gender neutral toy”, anyway? I thought the left wanted boys to play with dolls and girls to play with trucks? Typical California BS. Next they will be hiring tens of thousands is Toy Police, AFSME members, with six digit salaries and CalPers retirements. Dependable democrat voters.
