Slay: Constitutional law scholar Jonathan Turley has slammed the performance of Colorado’s lawyer before the Supreme Court during his argument to remove President Donald Trump from the state’s ballot.
On Thursday, Turley, a George Washington University law professor, appeared on Fox News and blasted Colorado lawyer Jason Murray.
The Colorado Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 decision in December to remove Trump’s name from the state’s ballot for the 2024 election under the 14th Amendment’s Section 3 “insurrectionist” clause.
Murray argued on behalf of Colorado before the SCOTUS justices.
However, Turley asserted on Fox News’s “America Reports” that Murray humiliated himself while answering challenging questions.
“It was a very interesting argument to listen to,” Turley said.
“It was a very difficult argument for Jason Murray who took the brunt of the questions, and he was running the gauntlet.
“Justices were lining up to hit him with very tough questions.
“But what was fascinating was how many of them came from the left of the court.
“The most interesting was Justice [Ketanji Brown] Jackson.” more here
And dessert ain’t for awhile
Howie Carr was saying Murray didn’t sound much like a lawyer. As if he didn’t know law.
A nice perk to this is ME SoS Shenna Bellows gets slapped down.
Considering that states such as Texas were told that they did nor have standing to challenge the 2020 election, there is no way a state should be allowed to remove a candidate from the ballot in the 2024 election.
