Lara Logan: Bridge collapse called ‘absolutely brilliant strategic attack’

WND:

Investigative journalist Lara Logan posted an alarming message concerning the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore on Tuesday, indicating multiple intelligence sources say the disaster was an “absolutely brilliant strategic attack” on U.S. critical infrastructure.

The structure was hit by a cargo vessel on the overnight hours, plunging at least eight people into the frigid water of the Patapsco River, six of whom are still missing.

“Multiple intel sources: Baltimore bridge collapse was an ‘absolutely brilliant strategic attack’ on US critical infrastructure – most likely cyber – & our intel agencies know it. In information warfare terms, they just divided the US along the Mason Dixon line exactly like the Civil War,” Logan’s warning began.

“Second busiest strategic roadway in the nation for hazardous material now down for 4-5 years – which is how long they say it will take to recover. Bridge was built specifically to move hazardous material – fuel, diesel, propane gas, nitrogen, highly flammable materials, chemicals and oversized cargo that cannot fit in the tunnels – that supply chain now crippled.” MORE

  1. People I somewhat had trust in seem nowadays to be loosing their minds. I live near a waterway that has major shipping on it. It’s not unheard of when ships loose power and/or steering. People need to stop instantly seeing the Boogeyman every time something happens. I for now see it as a unfortunate accident and will wait until investigations are complete before I’ll entertain malfeasance or terrorism.

  2. The boat dropped anchor in an attempt to slow forward progress.
This same thing happened not long ago in Lake Huron on the approach to St. Clair River and the Blue Water Bridges. The ship was moving much faster and when they dropped anchor the ship ended up doing basically a 180° turnabout saving it from running around.

  3. Different Tim, I don’t have answers and it seems like numerous “experts” are offering various perspectives contradicting each other that make it even more confusing. My problem with your Wait and See comment is we have no faith in the government on any level so will there be an investigation that is honest and shared with us? Not likely.

  4. Different Tim, I think you answered my biggest question that I thought might prove the collision was intentional.

When you view the video from a different perspective, you see the ship heading toward the bridge BETWEEN the pillars. Then, all of a sudden, you see it turn to the right and slam into the pillar.

That turn could be what you described happening when they dropped anchor.

Now, I’m not so sure the collision was on purpose.

  5. You would think that the pilots onboard would have had an understanding of how the ship would respond after dropping anchor. They should have allowed the ship to drift through the supports, then dropped anchor.
