Sara Carter: 13 illegal aliens — most of them children — were reportedly living in an apartment building basement in Indiana, only found because of an overdose death. Officers of the Hammond Police Department were called to investigate the death of a resident in the multi-unit building. But during the investigation, officers discovered a large number of migrants were illegally living in the building’s basement, WGN-TV reported.
When officers arrived, they found 13 illegals from Venezuela — including nine children ranging in age from two months to 14 years, and two women and two men — living in the basement space.
Neighbors told the media that they had no idea that so many people were living illegally in the building as they never saw any of them outside the home. more
Just more results of the Left dragging our nation down to their level of SUCK!
Maybe Pence can take them in.
Welcome to Obamaland.
Send them to Congress – they can squat in the chamber. Shouldn’t be a problem for Congress, as they’re not MAGA and Palestinian supporters are welcome at any time.
Secession!!
Gosh folks, I really have to apologize for not getting my name posted when I give my opinion on an article. I’m a 93 y.o. widow and have an awful time of hearing the phone or figuring out these damn cell phones. I too often leave my name out because my fat fingers misrepresent myself. But I do enjoy all the thumbs up when I post as anonymous. As for this article, how in the hell do these illegals even get an apartment to begins with. Back in the 70’s, you had to have 1st month rent, last months rent, a security deposit equal to one month rent. Really thinking about changing my name to Mohamad Rodriguez Bootfoker and claiming I’m a Black Muslim foreign national from Africa.
This is why you never take 911 calls at face value. You never know what you’re going to find until you get there.
This can vary by locality but generally speaking, basement bedrooms are illegal for reasons such as limited access (typically only 1 way in or out and that’s up a wooden staircase), underground with small or nonexistent windows, you share the space with heating equipment, that’s the place the water goes and the building collapses into in some fires, bedding tends to be massive amounts of flammible material, folks like space heaters in the colder basements that may not be clean burning and are also down where heavier volatile vapors like gasoline will go, and people have some interesting ideas about how to partition a basement, to name a few.
And that’s with ONE person.
Imagine having many and fluid occupants who may or may not be using real names or family information.
Role play.
You’re the lieutenant setting up a fire ground where heavy smoke is coming from the eaves and visibly filling the interior, and you’re trying to get a handle on if you have rescues, which is ALWAYS the priority. You also need to know what the fire load is to get a glimmer of how fast this fiee can move.
Someone presents a disheveled, panicy individual to you as the homeowner.
YOU: Is anyone still in the house?
HO: (frantically points down).
YOU: How many people are in the basement?
HO: I DONT KNOW!
YOU: Anyone very young or handicapped and need help? Do you know where anyone like that may be?
HO: I DONT KNOWWW!
YOU: Are there any hazards? Cooking fuels, kerosene heaters, paint, other chemicals or ammunition?
HO: I DONNT…DONTT…
YOU: Do you know who got out? Do you know if anyone who got out is hurt?
HO; QUE? NO ENTIENDO! NO SE!!!!!
…you can see that curbside interviews like this yield something of a paucity of actionable intelligence regarding if there were people who got out, where they might be if so; what cripples or babies or things that can blow up real good they may have left behind; how many men you may need to send through a small door down a rickety staircase into what either is or may soon become an oven (concrete walls heat BEAUTIFULLY); you know, little things like that.
And this doesn’t even get into what you’re supposed to do with survivors who did get out, particularly if the weather outside is bad and who may have injuries from inhalation to trampling of that group.
Mass casualty incident, anyone?
…they’re probably lucky they were found under calmer circumstances.
But we’re the Third World now.
There will be a mass death incident before too much time has passed.
And THEN you’ll see how they REALLY never let a crisis go to waste…

…yes, but that’s not what I mean.
This is.
“WHAT IS A MASS CASUALTY INCIDENT?
Although many have attempted to put numbers to what constitutes a mass casualty incident (MCI), perhaps the best definition is any number of casualties that exceed the resources normally available from local resources.”
https://delvalle.bphc.org/mod/wiki/view.php?pageid=89
…13 people with smoke inhalation, let alone other more serious problems, are going to overwhelm the resources of a small town EMS, necessitating Mutual Aid calls that strip a larger area of coverage, and can also overwhelm already short staffed local hospitals very quickly.
Then add the language barrier in.
…you generally don’t get that many casualties at once even from a normally occupied MUD. And you’re going to lose one unit for triage and local treatment right off the top, so this one stuffed basement can become quite a problem, and it’s very likely it isn’t the only one…
Here’s the dirty little secret, ignored most of the time about illegals allowed to invade and occupy housing in America.
They DON’T really CARE about living conditions, despite their so-called grifter “complaints”.
The illegal’s goal is to get to America. They would hang from the rafters like bats if it means staying in America and potentially receive the best of everything at taxpayers expense…which they do.
Even jammed in a basement like sardines and living like wild animals will not deter illegal hordes from coming to America. Compared to the hellholes they are from a filthy basement in America is paradise.
Shredding no tears for illegals self inflicted circumstances and destructive results of being criminals. Illegals know the risks and willing to suffer the consequences.
99th Squad Leader has it basically correct. These people literally CANNOT BELIEVE their good fortune in getting to the land of the gimme. All they have to do is hold out a hand, supinated, and government or some genuinely stupid charity will fill it. Back home they might get a punch in the face or a club to the kidney but that would be it. They will NEVER willingly give up that handout and will go to the most exorbitant lengths to keep getting the free stuff. Now, to be clear, there are some who come for genuine old fashioned opportunity and we will pretty well never hear about them because they’re working their asses off and too busy to cause an trouble but there are a whole effing ess load of criminals and scum in the Biden bum’s rush.
