He doesn’t like the unanimous verdict so he thinks he can ask for, and receive a new trial? I’m not a lawyer but I don’t think that’s the way it works. At least not for us little people.
Everyone knows he will get pardoned after the Presidential (s)election. He’s stalling to delay his sentencing.
Joe has promised he won’t pardon Humper. He didn’t promise won’t commute the sentence.
That’s like, when the Dr tells you that you’re sick, you want a second opinion. He answers, “You’re ugly, too”.
What I find ironical is he’s in trouble with the law because he purchased the weapon legally but lied on a fed document. Had he purchased an illegal firearm from Juan on the street corner he wouldn’t have been charged with jack shit. Maybe possession of stolen property. A misdemeanor with no jail time.
