As the primary shopper for my family, I have had no doubt on how out of control prices have become. I am made aware every time I pay the bill, it is our “elected” officials that don’t have a real time understanding of the situation. Or, maybe they do and just don’t care. In New Hampshire you need to make $32 an hour to avoid paying over 30% of your pay for rent alone ( according to a new study) Untenable, something has to give.
I get the impression that this (guy?) voted for exactly what he got.
We try to order groceries for my wife’s 98 year old WW2 veteran dad, and now thanks to dishonest douchebags, our orders get cancelled by the system because WE pay for it and it goes to him in a city 60 miles away.
The other thing I’ve seen is that after they process and deliver the order, the history doesn’t reflect what we bought at all even though he got everything.

What I currently spend in a week is a little less than what spent in a month 4 years ago.

I’ve seen several “historic” advertisements from the early 1970’s online (groceries, cars, etc), and we are looking at a 10-fold increase in prices generally. Yep, take the old prices and add a zero to them. Heck, I remember renting a 2BR apartment in the late ‘90’s for $600/month. Good luck finding that for 3 times the price now, and that’s just in roughly 25 years.
