Tim Walz Pushed to Power U.S. Navy with Algae to Fight Climate Change

Breitbart-

Democrat vice presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz argued for using algae to power the United States Navy as part of his efforts to fight climate change, claiming that sustainable energy solutions are crucial for military resilience.

During a debate with his then-opponent, Republican Jim Hagedorn, in Winona, Minnesota, in 2016, Walz spoke of the growing recognition that climate change is a pressing concern that cannot be ignored.

While noting that the nation’s armed forces can adopt new eco-friendly resources, Walz insisted that “the Pentagon is not a bunch of green tree-huggers.” more

  1. The left wouldn’t even be happy if the US Navy was forced to go back to wooden sailing vessels like before the 1900’s. After all trees are sacred to all the green weenies on the left and we can’t have, wood being used to build ships. Hell, they’re not in favor of any kind of Navy or Army, Air Force, Marines period, they’d be perfectly happy if we were totally disarmed. Thank God, for the 2nd Amendment which keeps us free. And fuck the left always.

My above comment was a stupid joke. I checked into one of those home bio diesel stills a while back when diesel was going thru the roof. The cheapest way to make Bio Diesel is animal fats. Think McDonalds renderings. The problem with idiots like Walz is they don’t say “We should check into the validity of converting algae into fuel to power our fleet”. Nope. It’s settled science for him and he doesn’t know shit about it.
To my knowledge our fleet does not run on diesel. It’s some sort of hybrid sludge. Just sayen

One of the engineers there was taught by my wife when he was in 4th grade. His mother was the “Room Mom” and they have been friends ever since. He has an old Mercedes diesel that he drives. For the DEF diesels he does not recommend more than a 20% of bio to be mixed with pure diesel.
