Copying is easy. Understanding is harder. Godless communists don’t need no stinkin’ understanding. They’ll tell you even unasked.
Communism/Socialism/and every ism in between removes the incentive to produce quality. The collectivist/totalitarian system ALWAYS comes back to bite the central planners in the ass. This is just the latest example of “who gives a shit, I no ride submarine”.
China was my area of responsibility when I was an imagery interpreter with the USAF back in the late 70’s. This is the kind of thing we looked for after we surveilled our list of established targets. We used the KH-8, KH-9 and KH-11 satellites. We would scan the coastline and countryside looking for whatever was of significant intelligence value. The resolution of the KH-8 satellite was much better than what you see in this article. It still holds the world record for photographic resolution from a space-based platform. We became very good at understanding what we were looking at on the imagery. It was very rewarding work during the Cold War. The Chicoms are evil beyond most people’s understanding. The fact that Tim Walz is so friendly with them is disturbing.
My dad told me a story long, long ago about Rolls-Royce buying a new Buick, taking the engine completely apart and buffing every single piece smooth, the idea being that the result would be superior. It wouldn’t start. Apparently at least one part needed the roughness.
Always good to know exactly how and why something works if you’re going to try to replicate it.

The chinks have a lot of chinks in their armor so that they have to steal western technology because they cannot produce anything good that works on their own. And when they do steal it, they manage to bungle it and build an inferior product because of communism. Communists of all stripes can’t build shit that works like it’s supposed to, and the Russians are just as bad as the chicoms.
Given whonis running our country and the disasters they’ve creates, can we really laugh at the communizts?
