Trump’s potential Treasury pick gives sneak peek into Musk collaboration

Fox Business

Billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson has ambitious plans to reshape federal spending if tapped to be Trump’s Treasury secretary – and he’s vowing to collaborate with Elon Musk to make it happen.

The Trump ally shared how the ambitious spending cuts the duo have floated might look under a potential second Trump administration.

“The government is now subsidizing, to the tune of $1 trillion, the Green New [energy] Deal. That’s subsidies for electric vehicles, subsidies for solar panels, subsidies for wind,” he told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday. more

  1. I want to see Rand Paul involved in anything related to The Fed. Of course he already has a role as a Senator, but if there is to be transparency he needs to be there.

  2. I am 72 and a Canadian, so cannot vote, but I am truly hoping for a massive landslide win by Donald J. Trump. My motto is “Stop spending money you don’t have!” for all western governments.
There used to be a British SitCom called “Little Britain” about poor customer service, especially in the NHS. One of my favourite lines is “The Computer Says No!” As it is, both the American and Canadian governments have so much national debt, that it will take decades of severe cost-cutting measures to eliminate both national debts.

  4. I have yet to see, including Trump, one single person in government address the elephant in the room, the national debt.

The government is now spending close to 1 trillion a year just on servicing the EXISTING debt. Nobody talks about entitlement spending, nobody talks about the financial costs of subsidizing millions of illegals, and nobody (hardly) talks about monies thrown at countries across the global, many who hate us and actively work to undermine our efforts, all in the name of goodwill, which is worthless to American taxpayers.

I would prefer putting your average middle-class housewife in charge of spending, someone who has stared inflation in the eye, knows a thing or two about balancing a budget, and knows that you never ever ever spend more money than you have coming in.

  5. It may take more than 4 years but to cut the snake’s head off Trump needs to get the ball rolling on repeal of the 16th Amendment. The amendment made taxation by the government, aka the swamp creature, what it is today and needs to be repealed along with downsizing big gov.
