  1. Ha, I knew Cali would be second. I have a friend that sat in on an oil company meeting the day after Newsom chased two cracking plants (refineries) out of here. They refer to him as Newsomlini. Accurate. Everything that arrives in Hawaii either arrives by a special freighter or by plane. I often think about selling everything I own and living on the beach in Maui. I love that place.

  2. I wouldn’t want to live in any of those on the list.
Maryland’s a greedy, corrupt cesspool – as is DC – the rest I’ve only read about.

  3. My sister has lived on Kauai for 11+ years. She lives a very simple life, has had the same job (retail) for 11+ years and lived in the same guest house for nearly as long, within walking distance of her job. No car, just makes enough to get by.
At work there is a constant flow of new employees, they love working there but quickly realize they can’t afford to live there.

  4. The moment I first set foot in WA 3 years ago, my car & truck insurance doubled. It has since doubled again.

When I left AR, gas was $1.87. When I got here it was $3.60 and what’s surprising is that it’s still hovering there.

  5. Anyone else breath a sigh of relief their state isn’t on the list?

Also, what’s the difference between “breath” and “breathe”? The autocorrect needs to know.

  6. ^^^Dr Tar^^^
“Breathe” (breeth – don’t ask me why, it’s the English language) is the act of inhaling and exhaling, or “breathing” (breething).
“Breath” is the air itself that you inhale and exhale.
So “breathe” is the action, “breath” is the what.

Hope that makes sense to you.
