President Trump Announces Nomination of GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz For US Attorney General

GP:

President Trump on Wednesday announced nomination of GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz for US Attorney General.

“It is my Great Honor to announce that Congressman Matt Gaetz, of Florida, is hereby nominated to be The Attorney General of the United States. Matt is a deeply gifted and tenacious attorney, trained at the William & Mary College of Law, who has distinguished himself in Congress through his focus on achieving desperately needed reform at the Department of Justice. Few issues in America are more important than ending the partisan Weaponization of our Justice System. Matt will end Weaponized Government, protect our Borders, dismantle Criminal Organizations and restore Americans’ badly-shattered Faith and Confidence in the Justice Department. On the House Judiciary Committee, which performs oversight of DOJ, Matt played a key role in defeating the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, and exposing alarming and systemic Government Corruption and Weaponization. He is a Champion for the Constitution and the Rule of Law…” Trump said on Wednesday. more here

  1. Could not be happier with this choice. Great selection!

Meet the new (AG) boss, absolutely NOT the old boss.

Our POTUS Trump aims to give the American people back the country our Founders gave us. Even if his goals fall short in his 4 years, it will be clear to all by then what a burden we’ve been living with for the past 100 years. Many will have 20/20 vision for the first time in their lives.

  2. Then there’s this disaster in waiting:

Trump Shouldn’t Hire Kristi Noem, Or Anyone Else, To Run DHS:

Noem backed down from protecting girls in her state when the trans lobby came calling, then lied about it, then whined about conservative “cancel culture” when she was called out. She’s a coward and liar, and should be the last in line for a big cabinet post.

Noem was also one of the first governors in 2020 to accept Somali and other refugees without proper vetting, hardly a choice that recommends her to head up DHS. And, for what it’s worth, she awkwardly lied about having met North Korean dictator King Jong Un and about canceling a scheduled meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

  3. This is so fucking based. I just hope there is a plan to keep Murkowski, Romney, Collins, and others from fucking it up. Those three senate seats the GOPE let the democrats steal turn out to be really important now.

  4. Intriguing commentary from sundance at the treehouse:

Making the nomination strategy that much more interesting, Matt Gaetz resigned his position within congress, “effective immediately.”

In combination with the nomination of Senator Marco Rubio to the State Dept., this sets the stage for a Senate situation where the upper chamber may attempt to derail the Gaetz nomination, yet Florida Governor Ron DeSantis could then appoint him to be the replacement U.S. Senator from Florida; thus, returning an angry MOAB back into the silo that derailed him.

You couldn’t write this script if you tried.

To say the Lawfare leftists are having a meltdown would be an understatement.

  5. His resignation “effective immediately” was explained by Thunes yesterday. It’s because it takes several weeks to complete the requirements of law and will have him available for the position by the time (just a few days before) Trump takes office. Sometimes Sundance gets a little carried away with his pot-boiling.

  6. Ron DeSantis appoints himself to the Senate. Watch heads explode. We still have a three Rhino problem with Romney, Collins and Murkowski. They better get in line now or be runover by the American people.
