Musk remarked, “Indeed, this will be tedious work, make lots of enemies & compensation is zero. What a great deal!”
FOX;
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which President-elect Trump put Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in charge of, announced on Thursday that it is opening up hiring to interested candidates.
DOGE wrote in a post on Musk-owned X that those who want to work on its cost-cutting push should send their résumés via direct message on X. To send a DM to the DOGE account, users are currently required to be verified, which entails at least an $8-per-month premium X subscription.
“We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE. We don’t need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting,” DOGE wrote.
“If that’s you, DM this account with your CV. Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants.” more
I’d like to help, but, sorry, I’m retired. Besides, my SS doesn’t include $8/mo. for a subscription to X.
I’ll start the bidding at $25K/year. I’ll pay more if I have to.
If I were fifteen, or even ten, years younger I’d send in my CV. It would be a dream job.
And, yeah, for quite a long spell working an 80 hour week was for me unremarkable, and I’ve got a knack for doing well on IQ tests. Finally, taking a cutting torch to govt would be a labor of love!
I’m 35 year veteran of government work. 80 hours is a cake walk. crappy compensation — No Problem! Please make me the auditor of the VA (where I spent 27 years). on day one, I promise to peel of 35% and that’s without firing a soul. by the time I get through weeding out the deadwood (people), i promise 85% cuts and better service to our veterans. Gone will be the days of purchasing $40k executive desks and, at the same time not having funds for tongue depressors.
Anonymous SubPrime-take away the anal flashlights from the IRS while yer at it too!
gob…. thinking the same thing. sounds like it costs money to be efficient. wonder if the 8 per month is tax deductible. not a good way to start, reminds me of the guys selling the pyramid scheme.
