More than 240,000 vehicles from South Korean carmakers Hyundai, Genesis and Kia were recalled across the U.S. and Canada over various safety issues, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced in two notices.
Some electric vehicles (EVs) were recalled over damaged charging units resulting in a loss of drive power, which “increases the risk of a crash,” one notice announced. more
!!! I have a Genesis!!!
Oh, just the EVs.
I might have considered a hybrid, maybe, but they only had EV or gas. No difficult decision there!
The more complex they are, the shorter the MTBF (mean time between failures). The Koreans have generally high quality products, but there are limits…
complexity-dkskrs to the rescue. they gots to keep theyself in bidness, like de loyuhs.
Amused at the click ait headline “abruptly recalled”. The amount/frequency of comsumer complaints, communication with federal government(s), this has been percolating for months.
I guess you can choose to act surprised that the announcement came out “all at once”, but its a pretty binary thing unless the company and the regulators decide to fight each other in the press first.
Self-driving cars… hmmm.
Remember when it took a remarkably stupid person to run over himself in his driveway ??
Define reasonably stupid. There is stupid is as stupid does and now I guess reasonably stupid. Are democraps just plain stupid or reasonably stupid thinking that they’re not stupid but everyone else is.
