My recipe is much more complicated.I just sprinkle brown sugar on the bacon about 3 minutes before you pull it off the stove. I used to bake bacon. But the brown sugar absorbs all the fat. Best if fried if your going to candy it. It’s pretty damn yummy. We have it about twice a month.
Chocolate covered bacon is pretty damn good too!
No need to save room for dessert, unless dessert is more candied bacon.

I make a good bacon wrapped bacon with a crumbled bacon topping.
There’s a reason bacon and sausage go so well with pancakes/french toast/waffles with syrup. They pair well with sweet.

Candied Bacon has been around for a long time. My mother made it back in the 1940’s and we had it for Christmas and Easter. Brown Sugar and Maple Syrup were the main ingredients.
Try Costco pre-cooked bacon. 20 seconds in the microwave and it’s ready to eat. No mess. Extremely long refrigerator shelf-life. I’ll try it with brown sugar tomorrow.
