A List of People Hegseth Should Fire

TownHall– A group of military leaders has made waves by releasing a list of individuals they believe should be fired if Pete Hegseth gets confirmed as President-elect Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense.

The American Accountability Foundation (AAF), composed of current and former military personnel, sent a letter to Hegseth arguing that these people are part of the entrenched bureaucracy within the Pentagon that has undermined military readiness and American values.

Hegseth has been a staunch critic of the military’s management for several years. The group believes this is an opportunity to purge what it views as a woke establishment that has compromised the integrity of the nation’s military. more

  1. I believe a Stalinist purge is in order. All over the rank of O-6 need to be shown the door. Then reintroduce brevet ranks promotions to ensure the right ones are selected.

  2. I don’t think Hegseth needs a list from anyone. He wrote the book: “The War on Warriors: Behind the Betrayal of the Men Who Keep Us Free”

In his research for his writing, he likely identified who the betrayers are. And aren’t they also the subject of most of his content on his Fox programs?

  3. Twenty? He should be able to get through that by lunch on day one. Important item is to strip their classified access and access to the Pentagon so that, if not in jail, they can’t ooze over to the defense contractors’ boards.

  4. Woke is just the tip of the iceberg. Hegseth, Trump and probably a few others in top positions need to read “The Real Revolution In Military Affairs”, by Andrei Martyanov. And then read the rest of Martyanov’s books. Maybe they can dip their toes into this excellent review of the book, excerpted here:

“Let me immediately reassure the math-averse readers: Martyanov’s writing does not drag the reader through any complicated equations, he just uses a simplified version of these Osipov-Lanchester equations to show that modern warfare is a science which requires a minimum of technical/technological expertise to understand and which has really nothing to do with meaningless political science buzzwords and over-hyped concepts like “A2/AD” or “hybrid warfare”, “network-centric warfare” or even “Revolution in Military Affairs”. The truth is that none of these concepts are new at all. They have existed for decades, and they are all buzzwords whose the primary function to make an otherwise clueless person appear “well-versed in the complex terminology of modern political science” or some other equally insipid purpose, like convincing clueless politicians to spend more money on “defense” thereby making it possible for the proponents of this kind of political science nonsense to fill their pockets with easily earned money.”

We have a Pentagon infested with credentialed clowns, woke or not, who know nothing of the hard sciences involved in real war, only knowing jargon and the soft swish of the revolving door into politics or the industrial wing of the MIC. We are being sold a bill of shoddy goods, and sending our soldiers into harm’s way with those goods, based on the delusions of what Colonel David Hackworth called the “Pampered Princes” of the Pentagon.

Hegseth has been out there on the bleeding edge, and I’m sure he understands this. He needs to seek the counsel of the few real war scientists in America—who have probably been shunned to the basements of the Pentagon and Service Academies, or cashiered—and completely overhaul our military tactics , strategy and tools. Crushing the Woke cadre is a good start, but it’s only the end of the beginning, as Churchill might say.

  5. “Notably, eight of the twenty individuals are women, despite females making up only 17 percent of the military.”

DEI, didn’t earn it, why is it “Notable”, more like ignoble.

  6. Start at the top with General Milley with the giant caterpillar eyebrows and work your way down the military chain of command. They all need to be court martialed, tried for treason (especially Milley) and removed from their leadership roles in the Pentagon.
