Legal Insurrection
In the fall, Boeing’s troubled Starliner spacecraft landed uncrewed in a New Mexico desert. In February 2025, it ended a three-month test mission troubled by technical issues that forced the astronauts to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) to remain there.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) then tasked SpaceX to retrieve the stranded astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams. The Crew Dragon spacecraft, nicknamed Freedom, was launched and sent to the ISS. more
I hear they are asking Sandra Bullock for ideas.
🙂
This would make for a good storyline for an episode of the Twilight Zone.
I have been wondering what was going on with those two stuck in space. The media and NASA have not made any recent announcements (that I have seen) till now. This is bad news for NASA/Boeing and terrible news for the two astronauts.
How would any astronaut put his/her confidence in NASA after this?
The female astonaut is nt doing well. She eas way too old for this kind of risk.
What if one of the two has a burst appendix or a fatal heart attack while up there? Big problems. Like – what does the survivor do with the remains?
Elon can rescue them.
Tim,
What with the death jab the heart attack scenario is something regardless of age.
I don’t doubt NASA has plans for such contingencies. I don’t know that the outside areas are reliably cold for storage. But, grim as it may seem to us, NASA has a plan.

Successful in time travel. though.
@Sipping
An orbiting corpse would do wonders for NASA’s public image. It could incorporate it in its logo.
…continuing.
In Space, Nobody Can Hear a Corpse Fart.
Starring Sigourney Weaver.
Boeing is the most taxpayer-subsidized corporation in the US…by a long shot.
My pops had 40 years at Boeing. Back in the nineties when they started outsourcing everything he predicted this mess. Sadly he was spot on.
However, NASA said in a news release Tuesday that Wilmore and Williams’ replacements, …..
They weren’t supposed to be stuck there in the first place. Why does the space station need their replacements?
@Huh
Yeah, that’s creepy. Could it be that Wilmore and Williams are already dead?
I sincerely hope not. Anybody have any idea how they have been resupplied with food and water over the last 6 months?
By this point they should just get out and walk.
