TSA Officers Make “Extremely Concerning” Discovery at a Los Angeles Airport

GP

A passenger arrived with a disturbing ‘present’ at Los Angeles International Airport last week, leaving Transportation Security Administration officials (TSA) stunned.

The Los Angeles Times reported on Saturday that a TSA officer flagged a woman’s bag during an X-ray screening on December 15 at roughly 10 p.m. and discovered almost 90 prohibited items.

  1. They didn’t identify the passenger, or destination. So they are just trying to justify their existence.
A few years ago I flew to either New Orleans or Raleigh for a church youth service project, packing a variety of tools in my checked luggage while taking a daypack on the plane with reading material etc. A few days after returning home I emptied my daypack, and a Leatherman multitool was at the bottom. I had forgotten to put it in the checked luggage. It had a fairly large knife blade and a saw blade. Went right through that scanner with no issues. And I did not have TSA Pre-check at the time.

  2. A few years ago at Spokane airport, the TSA discovered two stripper clips of AP AK ammo in my carry-on. I had forgotten it was there, from a previous road trip. They didn’t make a big deal about it, just kept it. They gave me the option of f having someone come to the airport to get them, but as I was newly hired by the FAA I didn’t want to get a supervisor involved. It probably would have been a very different outcome at another airport.

  3. They have undetectable plastic explosives with undetectable ignition systems.
I’m confident TSA isn’t staffed with the best and brightest DEI hires.
So, it’s just a matter of time.
