The (possibly temporary) TikTok ban is underway, with users of the social media app reporting they’re unable to access the site at all. There’s a 90-day reprieve that will presumably start when Donald Trump takes office.
Personally, this writer has never used TikTok and has forbidden her children from downloading the app. The Chinese data collection issue is less her concern (because our data is probably everywhere anyway) than the propaganda, which she believes is a psyop on America.
In the wake of the ban, there are reports that kids and teens are calling 911 about TikTok going dark, kinda proving this writer’s point. more here

Israel orchestrated the ban to block the truth about their war crimes being documented and broadcast. Once you realize that, you understand why it was so important to the AIPAC puppets in our Congress. Obviously if they cared about the security of our data, they would care far more about Facebook, etc and the backdoors the CIA, FBI, and NSA have into EVERY American social media apps.

They can shut down all social media for all I care. Never been on any of them. Sites like this one are my limit.
Everyone seems to forget that this whole issue commenced with a Trump EO banning TikTok that was contested in court and lost, and then went to legislation that was again contested in court and won.
TikTok is dangerous spy crap as well as addictive and poisonous propaganda. But here’s the thing: Trump doesn’t want to give the business to the corrupt other social medias, all of whom have intelligence community back doors (never mind also having banned Trump and contributed to the 2020 election steal). So he’s going to “make a deal” that keeps the money flow in the U.S. away from google and meta et al., but also has safety protocols to prevent CCP data collection.
My favorite response to the TikTok ban was from a Brit I follow on X, which went something like: “Maybe now the NHS can catch up on their waiting lists.”
(For those not in the know, the British socialized medical system is called the National Health Service/NHS). TikTok was flooded with clips of NHS medical personnel dancing & singing during the plandemic. People are still waiting months for a doctor appointment.
