Lecturing “bishop” failed to mention the tens of millions her denomination makes importing LGBTQ+ immigrants

Not the Bee:

After Episcopal “bishop” Mariann Budde prayed for President Trump to have mercy on immigrants during his inauguration, the president accused the bishop of bringing her church into the world of politics.

Turns out, the church Budde leads was already highly involved in politics, especially concerning immigration, and has been for quite some time. As a matter of fact, in 2023, her church played a significant part in immigration politics, to the tune of $53 million in taxpayer dollars. more here

SNIP: Someone mentioned this (to me) in a thread yesterday but I forget the name.
Hat tip yourself in the comment section. Thank you.

  1. 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

  2. God doesn’t require priests, you can talk to him directly with no middle man.
Priests, pastors etc are another point of failure added to your spiritual existence.
A relationship with God directly is much safer.
Man requires Churches, Religions, and [insert authoritative church figure label], God does not.
Consider that the Romans edited the bible heavily multiple times. A Bible which has stories which were were modified from Egyptian and Sumerian Mythos (and likely others).
If one believes in a Creator, do you really think they would need a religion?
God is good, loving, and forgiving. The major religions all hold a small part of the truth
I’m not concerned with where I go after, I know it will be with him.
Don’t need a religion written by people in the middle east, east, or anywhere else to discover that or God.
It is a good vehicle for some on their souls path to God and everyone has the right to a religion, or not a religion.

All of that is to say, people like this dumb bitch are why religious authority figures are a bad idea. Power corrupts, few are immune.

  3. To which the US Conference of Catholic Bishops replied, “Only $53 Million? Hold my beer…”

In recent years, the USCCB has received more than $100 million annually from the federal government to support migration and refugee services, according to Catholic News Agency:

The USCCB is in running for the most despicable institutions in America. There are and have been extremely good, decent, godly, and deserving men among them, but as an institution it is absolute filth. Absolute and unequivocally filth. It is a Satanic shithole and deserving of absolutely no respect whatsoever on any level.

  5. @JDHasty: Those good, decent, godly, and deserving men don’t get to be bishops without being good ‘company men’ and I do believe some of them grapple with the moral dilemma of going along and doing as much good as they can, or speaking up and calling out the evil within the system. But, you get one chance to be a whistleblower and the Amish have nothing on the Catholics when it comes to shunning. We have heard the lone voices of Viganò and Strickland and others and you see what happened to them. I think there will come a tipping point when more will speak out more often and support each other and we will see some of the church swamp drained. But I am sad we have not reached that point yet, with the open border, human trafficking, abortion supporting pResident and Speaker of the House, and other blatant affronts to human dignity and the integrity of the Church.

But the (dwindling number of) people in the pews, and those who have opted out for a while, are no fools. Donations to these institutions are down and the faithful have found other, direct ways to fund legitimate charitable efforts.
