President Donald Trump Issues Executive Order To Assess ‘Infringements’ of Second Amendment

Breitbart

President Donald Trump issued an executive order Friday “to assess any ongoing infringements” of the right to keep and bear arms.

The order began by stating the purpose and importance of the Second Amendment:

The Second Amendment is an indispensable safeguard of security and liberty. It has preserved the right of the American people to protect ourselves, our families, and our freedoms since the founding of our great Nation. Because it is foundational to maintaining all other rights held by Americans, the right to keep and bear arms must not be infringed.

The order then makes clear that President Trump wants an assessment of any infringements that occurred due to presidential action under former President Joe Biden and due to DOJ and/or ATF actions. more

  1. This will almost certainly be assigned to his quisling RINO AG Pam Bondi who has repeatedly over her career abused and ignored 2A rights. She will pretend to do an assessment and proudly proclaim there are no infringements….while she continues to do exactly that. Of all the Trump appointees so far she was by far his biggest mistake based on her history.

  2. So Dan can’t sleep tonight because any minute Pam Bondi is going to kick down his door, kick his ass, and take his guns under the guise of President Trump. I think Dan’s a Dem shit disturber, or really stupid.
Trump just issued a killer EO in support of gun owners and idiots like Dan find fault with it.

  3. I could go to the gun club on any weekend and hear the same shit from the doom and gloom, woe is me, crowd. Yea, the same ones that are too worthless to even vote. It’s beyond tedious and has been for decades.

  4. will give you an assessment actions right now:

.get rid of atf-******* & their d-sucker 4473, permanently

    .get rid of fbi-*******, permanently

.get rid of gfz’s, permenently. exceptions for criminal holding areas & courts in session

  5. The EO covers Biden’s anti-2nd Amendment actions from 2021 to 2025. Nothing more, nothing less.

Will the DOJ under Bondi adhere to the wording and original intent of the 2nd Amendment? “Shall NOT be Infringed” ???

Will the DOJ send their best and brightest before the Supreme Court to defend the original wording and intent?

This would eliminate the “F” in the ATF.
While they’re at it, why regulate Alcohol, Tobacco or Firearms?

Maybe the prophetic among us will answer the questions.
Maybe the idiots who read the EO as a “win” could chime in.

…in fairness to @Dan, while I do not agree with him in this particular case, I can understand where this concern could legit come from.

President Trump may have the best of intentions and usually means what he says, he HAS made some unfortunate choices in his unders who actually have to enforce his will, Judas Pence and Bill “Bolshevik” Barr being but two (and not the only possible) examples.

It appears that President Trump has learned from his previous mistakes and it does not appear that he will brook any cupidity from his juniors THIS time, the possibilty will always exist that they can subvert his will if our enemies bribe or blackmail them enough, and we do need to remain vigilant of them on his behalf that they, too, do not go rogue on him as so many others before them have to the detriment of his first term and the four years of sorrow to us all that followed…

What mistakes? Oh I know, Bump Stocks. Trump through a bunch of foaming at the mouth gun hating legislators a bone, and they went for it. Saving massive amounts of anti gun legislation. Unfortunately the manufacturers of the Bump Stocks took a big one on the chin. A useless product. Should you be able to own one? You bet.
Following up on what JDHasty typed, we were the FFL that had the petitions against California’s Gun Magedon. I think it was 19 anti gun bills all rapped up in one sweet little package. Gun Owners of California approached us and because of our some what central location asked us if we would handle the petitions. Sam Padre, now pretty high up in GOA warned us, the guys you’ll have problems with are the red necks out of the hills. And sure enough. Most common heard comment. “I don’t want my name on the list”. Really? Have you purchased a legal firearm that required you to fill out a 4473? Yes. Well in California you’re already on the list. Sign the petition. “Nope, not going to do it”.
These people are their own worst enemy. we missed enough names on the petition by a small margin. The fascinating thing about that experience was the amount of professional women that stopped by to sign it. They’d pull up in their nice shiny Benzs dressed in biz attire and ask, where do I sign. That was the best part of the whole deal. There were a lot of stubborn old guys that could have learned a thing or two from them.

    What mistakes?’

…the mistakes I had in mind were his personnel picks, like Pence and Barr and Milley and Hayley and SC justice Barrett, not anything specific to gun control. Some of his loyalist proved to be anything but.

I am hoping that Pam Bondi does not live down to join this group, and that President Trump has honed his selection skills since then, is what I mean.

Cant say I could have done better, I thought Barr was good once too. Boy was I wrong.

Thing is, he needs not be wrong THIS time.

All our lives depend on it…
