My gaze from the West Coast, the land of the heathen, leaves me struck at how wonderful it must be to have good Americans running to represent me in government. From where I sit, we have been the land of the clowns, the degenerates, and the delusional.

I’d look forward to the change. DeSantis is too self-serving for my taste. Sure, with the right motivation you can get a self-server to do the right thing but why bother with the drama.

Ron DeSantis has been great, but there’s always been a question about the $ in back of him – he should be candid and straighten that out if he intends to further pursue his career in politics

I wish we had such a capable man like Byron Donalds running to defeat whomever of the evil Democrats trying to take Gov. Whitmer’s place when her term runs out in two years. Right now, SOS Benson is running, who is cut from the same cloth as Whitmer and AG Nessel hasn’t declared … yet.
The one Republican that has thrown his hat in the ring is not very trustworthy, but he would be preferable to any of the other Democrat contenders.
There is one man that I hope will decide to take it on. He is the owner of Iron Pig Smokehouse restaurant, Ian Murphy. He kept his restaurant open during Covid and got in so much trouble. He lost his food license and had to fight the Commies to get it back (he did). I want to visit his restaurant, but it’s a six hour drive from where I live. I have relatives that live near there and my sister and I plan to visit this summer, so we will have to eat there on the way there and back again.
Anyway, he has been asked if he would jump into the fray for the election and he hasn’t said no. He seems to be getting more involved in local politics as he is a moving force fighting Whitmer’s plan to cut down thousands of acres of forest for the Communist Chinese Solar Panel Industrial Array. What a foolish plan in a state that has 6 months of overcast days (what we call WINTER)! I pray he succeeds and decides to throw his hat in the ring.

DeSantis’ actions have largely been great, his words just keep coming back on him. I don’t understand some of his petty comments – and his 2024 campaign team was atrocious.
He was a huge pusher of Regeneron/monoclonal antibodies for treating covid. Didn’t that turn out to be awful? And profitable, like the jabs?
