We spend quite a bit of time there. Most of my wife’s family has moved there. My impression of AZ is that it is an extremely red state taken over by a bunch of NAZI Libtards being controlled by the drug cartels. If residents can ever get control of the government again Arizona would feel like the Goldwater days.

As a relatively recent resident of Arizona, I would say Brad’s assessment is correct and Rich’s is off-base. As with most western states, the big cities are deep blue and the more rural areas are red. Also, I think the native Americans tend to vote blue. My county (Yavapai) is very red and is also a 2A sanctuary county, so I’m happy here. For now. FYI: I left California in ‘74, and Oregon in ‘22.

I wouldn’t say Rich is off base. A legit question. We continue to ponder move, or stay put. If we moved it would most likely be to Northern AZ. The upcoming midterms may determine our decision for us.

Based on nothing empirical, verifiable, or even anecdotal, the problem that I see with Arizona is either 1) California libs are moving there and bringing their dopey politics with them, or 2) the election process is so corrupt and compromised that the will of the people is highjacked.
The good news is that the GOP controls both houses of the legislature. But from a non-Arizonian (?) having 2 Dem senators causes all kinds of hell in derailing all the good stuff I want Trump to do.

Well here’s some very non empirical info. We drove through Prescott right before the elections. First off there’s Prescott. Kind of a mountain town. Older. And then there’s the Prescott Valley. Down on the flat. Brand spanking new. They are pretty much connected now. They have a town center. When we drove through there they had a big ass banner stretched across the entrance that read
Prescott Support Donald Trump. If you visit Cave Creek on any week end you’ll find a bunch of well off bikers flying Trump flags behind their Fat Boys. I have a lot more, but in short when your there it feels pretty damn conservative. I don’t think I’ve run into one liberal there. Not counting my sister in law who spent way to much time in school.
