Boston Women’s Soccer Team Changes Name After Transgender Activists Flip Out Over Slogan
A Boston National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team has had to change their name after transgender activists went crazy over their slogan.
In a marketing campaign late last year, the team unveiled the slogan: “Too many balls.”
The slogan was immediately deemed “transphobic” and a transgender Seattle Reign player named Quinn joined in to pile on the women’s team.
“Feels transphobic. Yikes,” the biological male soccer player wrote on Instagram.
The club apologized for the playful slogan, but the activists did not appear to relent. more
The first design company which I worked at after university graduation was aligned with an advertising firm. One of the firm’s BIG successes was “Balls Make the Difference” – advertising ball bearings.
As a woman who actually likes men (I had a great father and 2 brothers), I think this slogan is so true!
They could’ve been named “Too many nuts.” Would that then satisfy the unhinged, looney tunes nuts on the left, probably not. The left always has a grievance about everything and anything, they are never satisfied by anything except to annoy the hell out of everyone that they disagree with.
I would have preferred a more accurate slogan: “The only people who are good at soccer have balls.”
Now, put them up against a 12-year-old boys team, if they don’t they all have to get back into the kitchen.
