Florida: Illegal Alien Squatters Turned Home Purchase into a Nightmare

Daily Signal:

Cathy Lindberg Jarosz drove down the street of her newly purchased home but could not find her house.

Lindberg, a lawyer from Maryland, had purchased the home in Destin, Florida, in April 2023 to be closer to her daughter who had just had a baby. She turned the house over to contractors for a couple weeks so they could do renovations on the home while she was on vacation. When she returned, she expected to find her new home ready to settle into, but this was far from the case.   more here

  1. “because the men were likely illegal aliens, there was little police could do unless the men committed a crime”

Well Mr Law and Order, you said it yourself. They’re here illegally. Enforce the law.

BUT….since she’s from the PDRoM (and a lawyer, at that), she’s been taught to fear guns, and that Only Ones should possess them. Sooooo…..good idea, but no help there.
Still, too bad. The soil is loose sand, and the bodies would have helped to enrich the soil.
Or, use them for bait (seagulls, crabs and fish gotta eat, too)

Amen! This was in Florida, so there should be no problem because Gov. DeSantis just signed a new law making federally illegal immigration also against FL state law. FL’s being sued over it, of course, but the Gov. says the state/local guys should go ahead and bust ’em anyway.

If it were somewhere else, it isn’t a slam dunk that local cops or county sheriffs can enforce fed laws without being in some sort of official collaboration with fed LEOs. It shouldn’t be that way, but it is.

(Sheriffs usually have an easier time of it than municipal cops.)
