Iran stated they launched 14 missiles at Qatar which was the same number of Bunker Busters used on them. Maybe they only launch so few is due to Iran actually running out of both missiles and drones. Maybe a squadron of stealth fighter/bombers need to go in and destroy anything nuclear they have left plus destroy missile and drone storage plus any manufacturing facilities. Leave Iran with nothing left to fire with except rocks they can throw by hand.
Ot’s not about “saving face”, it’s about showing Israel how rational actors behave when dueling with deadly weapons. Nobody respects ambush and assassination and modus operandi. Which is not to say that neither the US nor Iran engages in such, it’s just that politeness is usually better when everybody is packing.
