First, divorced former pornographer Rachel Drucker observed that frustrated women are on the prowl in modern America: “Still, I found myself watching the crowd as it moved past us: women walking in pairs or alone, dressed with care. At table after table at the nearby restaurants, there was a noticeable absence of men — at least of men seated in what looked like dates.”
This observation sounds familiar and is more revealing of the disposition of the fair sex than any survey where women claim — bitterly, most likely — that they are looking for friendship and self-improvement, not love.
The opponents of #MeToo warned about it in the late 2010s. We made dating too high stakes a game for men; make a wrong move and two decades later, the girl may accuse you of assault — and ruin your life.

Serves the bitches right. As a mother to three sons I know they are unfortunately wary of woman. But I had to warn them to be careful out there. I can’t find many women I want to be around either.

One was in a long-term relationship that ended about 3 years ago (we were relieved – she was not stable) and the other has a daughter from a short relationship. Both are in their 30s now and have NO interest in trying to find a decent woman to become involved with. It’s too much work and too hard to find a mentally/psychologically stable woman.
It’s not about overcoming shyness or reserve to reach out to women – it’s that in general, they are too much drama.

as a mother of three daughters I see it different than most of the other commenters. From what I have observed, it seems that men these days want a mommy to have sex with. They seem to believe that all of the responsibility for the home and children belongs to the women. And the women are even supposed to work to support themselves; the men are responsible for nothing but themselves and their own toys and personal entertainment. And what’s worse is they never leave and cleave. Their mothers are still the all-knowing reigning queens in their lives. All of that makes for lonely women; even the married ones.
All the good ones (from both sexes perspective) get married to other good ones and stay married. Hence, as you get older there are fewer and fewer good ones left to choose from.
They want it all and they want it NOW! They are also prone to “I hate you, your a _______, don’t touch me” if you are not 100% down with the current thing. They will also order the most expensive thing on the menu not eat 2/3 of it. They talk with their mouth full of food. They are habitually late. The one I really didn’t expect is, They are all plastered with disgusting tattoos.
I talk to the younger guys at the gun club and for the most part they don’t want anything to do with them.
I blame the no-fault divorce culture.
Boys raised by single moms tend to be the ones looking for mommy-wifes. Boys raised by both parents tend to be more grounded masculine rolls of husband/partner/provider.
Girls raised by single moms tend to be bitter witches with chips on their shoulders coming out of the gate. Girls raised by both parents understand the need for stable men in their lives.
My three sisters and I were raised by two loving parents who only parted ways on the death of my father. At only 30 years, (and counting) my one-and-only marriage is the shortest run of the bunch. Meanwhile my friends raised in divorced families have all divorced at least once.
Buddy’s son put NO PSYCH MEDS in what he was looking for in his online dating profile and the sonsabitches went totally berserk. Doxed him and threatened to burn the house down with the whole family in it. In his defense, he thought he had signed up to a Christian dating site. I think it was Methodists or Unitarians or some other nut burger damn thing like that.
He has one more year before he heads to a four year school and has been given fair warning that online dating sites are strictly off limits.
Whatever happened to falling in love?! No one falls in love anymore! Young people these days are so risk-averse and try to ameliorate their risk and reduce their anxieties about the opposite sex by taking a full-on checklist approach to dating. Okay, sure, there are important things you want in a mate, but to stack-rank and weight them all equally?!
If women were at all truthful about what they’re looking for they’d say it was a good-looking guy who can make good-looking babies, with enough money and prospects to feed, clothe and house them. This business the NYT’s writes about women wanting a husband who is also a qualified therapist who can navigate all their neurotic land mines is a bridge too far.
Of course, the missing puzzle piece to all of this is the absence of God and Jesus Christ at the center of their lives. Like it or not, it’s true.

The wife and I sneaked away to South Lake Tahoe for a couple days. Water front Chateau. They go for between $15,000 and $17,000 for the week. I’m not joking. What a rip. My youngest sons mother in law purchased a couple of them. We stay free if they’re not booked. Nice of her. The 4th of July is a huge deal at South Lake Tahoe. Freaken huge. We had to split today because the place was booked. But we’ve been watching groups of fat women occupying the surrounding place with other fat women. All driving expensive transportation. Yesterday there were a couple of them being quite obnoxious looking for a stiff dick and they really didn’t care what it was attached to. At 11:00 AM they were shit faced. Had my RV at a resort/park in Walla Walla and was rockchucks shooting w/my daughter when she was about eight years old. There were wine tours that all these 35-55 women showed up for in their RVs. They got on a bus about noon and came back wrecked at about half past 02:00. Loud, obnoxiously drunk and on the prowl. Good God Almighty, I don’t know what they had invested along with the wine, but they were horny as hell and wanted everyone in Whitman County to know.
